About Our Scholarship Program
We make every effort to provide lessons at a reduced cost for those who would otherwise have difficulty affording a musical education for their children. A quality musical education is essential to the health of a developing brain, and we want to make sure that no child in Humboldt misses out on that opportunity simply because of their financial background. If you are in need of help affording lessons, ask us. Scholarships will be awarded based on both student merit and financial need.
We also make efforts to provide musical instruments for students who need them. We regularly receive new and used instrument donations from the community and are happy to find good homes for them in our students.
How You Can Help
If you would like to make a difference in the lives of Humboldt's youth, consider donating to our scholarship fund, and 100% of your donation will go to sponsoring students in need. You can also donate that old keyboard that's gathering dust in your closet! We will refurbish it and find a home for it in our student body, or sell it on our online store and put the money into the scholarship fund.
We are not a non-profit organization, because the costs of maintaining non-profit status would exhaust our donations before they could get to the students. In lieu of a tax deduction, you may receive a thank-you card from a student and we will honor you on our website if you wish. We are open with our financial records upon request.
